Been too busy to post lately, and now my camera’s broken. So no pictures of the lovely final package from my SP, Gina. A copy of the SnB Design Journal, a copy of Simply Knitting, a pocket calendar and stitch markers. She is simply the best SP ever!
You can, in fact, jury-rig a muffler using sock yarn. At least, long enough to get your car to the shop. *sigh*
First of all, stealth project:
The Kittyville hat from the Stitch and Bitch book. Yes, I am that goofy.
Second, from the best Secret Pal in the world:
Which I unwrapped to reveal:
The green yarn is Nashua Handknits Creative Focus Worsted. The pink/gold/green is unlabeled, but looks very spiffy. It will be interesting to see what it says to me.
Mike immediately tried to lay claim on the chocolate covered macadamias. In fact, the package got opened before I got the picture, because he *had* to have one before going to work. He was late today because his alarm didn’t go off. As opposed to being normally late.
Air freshener for the car, which is good since I’m driving his these days. The book is Vogue’s American Collection, and has Lily Chin’s Reversible Rib Shawl, which I’ve been pondering lately.
And, the best thing of all? I’m sure you’re all wondering what that is.
Opens up to this:
It is, simply, the coolest circular needle case in the world. My SP had it made JUST for me. I *adore* it.
SP: *squees and hugs* You’re the best!
I’ve been busy with in-game stuff, so there hasn’t been much knitting going on. For those of you who aren’t familiar with online games of this sort, running a guild is a lot of work, but it’s very rewarding when it comes together. I love my guild, so it’s well worth it!
I just took a step in my knitting I’ve been afraid to for awhile. I just ordered the TKGA’s Level I Hand Knitting Master materials. I’m excited, and a bit scared. We’ll see how it goes.
